Wash & Care Instruction
Wash & Care Instruction
CHASEN KUSENAOSH:
Keep it dry always. If you would like to wash, gently wash with lukewarm/hot water (no dishwasher). If you will not use it for a long time, gently wrap it in newspaper before stacking it up with other bowls.
CHASEN:
The chasen can last around 1 year with proper care. However, it should be replaced when the tips are broken or if there are signs of mold. Gently wash with your hands the area that is in contact with matcha.
Wash in lukewarm water (or leave it in hot water) before cleaning it with a dry cloth (no dishwasher). Keep it in a dry place with good ventilation. After the second or third usage, the end of the whisk will start to become straight.
We recommend using a matcha whisk holder (kusenaoshi) to keep the whisk in the correct form. (Otherwise, you can also use your fingers to push outwards the outer bamboo layer.)
